SUMMER EVENTS

Children’s Wednesdays – children under 5 go free 11am – 4pm

Every Wednesday in August Listen to fantastical tales of Dragons on the Mulberry Lawn with Agent Green the Dragon Whisperer; have your face painted with Cheltenham Face Painting in the Pavilion; get creative in the summer sun with Sudeley’s themed arts and crafts; play giant games of snakes and ladders on the terrace and take part in a history trail.

Tudor Fun Days – children under 5 go free 11am – 4pm

Sunday 21st July, Sunday 25th August, Sunday 22nd September

A highlight of the season, step back into Sudeley’s Tudor past with Falconry and Owl Talks with local Falconer Gary Cope; dress up as your favourite Tudor King or Queen; have a go at some Archery, Circus Workshops and stilt walking with Thomas Trilby and Friends; watch our Tudor ladies dance to music; and get creative with Tudor themed arts and crafts.

New Exhibition! Calder at the Castle – children under 5 go free 11am-4pm

Sunday 23rd June – Saturday 26th October 2013

Come face to face with a giant, modern dinosaur as part of a new outdoor art exhibition, ‘Calder at the Castle’. This is the first ever showcase of six monumental sculptures by Alexander Calder (1898-1976), installed throughout Sudeley’s award-winning gardens.

 Watch Owls being tamed – children under 5 go free 3:30pm Every Sunday

Observe Sudeley’s impressive collection of owls and rare pheasants from around the world, at Sudeley’s pleasantry and watch the beautiful Snowy Owls being tamed for public interaction throughout the season.

Interactive Nature Walk – children under 5 go free 11am-4pm Every day 

Take a walk on the wild side with Sudeley’s unique and interactive wildlife walk. Discover natural habitats along the way including bird and bat boxes, a hogitat, ladybird log, butterfly feeder, bee log and minibeast motel. Information boards (under the direction of the Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust) line the trail of what can be found in the grounds as well as tips on how visitors can encourage wildlife in their own gardens.

Adventure Play Fort – children under 5 go free 11am-4pm Every day

Let your imagination run wild with Sudeley’s spectacular wooden play fort full of hidey-holes, towers, a slide and even a zip-wire! There are picnic benches located within the area and refreshments (cold drinks, ice creams and snacks) are available by the entrance.
