Covent Garden: London’s Top Christmas Destination Announces Festive 2024

Covent Garden is launching an enchanting seven-week Christmas season starting November 12. Featuring festive lights, exclusive pop-ups, family-friendly events, and exciting shopping and dining. Highlights include the famed Christmas light switch-on, new Seven Dials illuminations, and the return of Covent Garden’s 55-foot spruce adorned with thousands of LED lights and baubles.

Visitors can enjoy curated pop-ups from luxury brands like Jo Malone and Sipsmith, explore The Covent Garden Chalet for an Alpine experience. Visit Miracle at Henrietta, the Christmas-kitsch cocktail bar. Additionally, the Save the Children Christmas Shop returns, contributing 100% of its proceeds to charity, and new brands like Aspinal, Strathberry, and Longines will bring unique shopping experiences.

Christmas Lights and Decor

Covent Garden’s renowned decorations are back with massive baubles, mirror balls, and golden bells filling the Market Building. Over in Seven Dials, a new 150,000-light installation and Neal’s Yard will add extra sparkle to the neighbourhood.

Festive Pop-Ups

Exclusive pop-ups like Jo Malone London’s interactive game show and Sipsmith’s vintage cocktail bus will keep visitors entertained. The Covent Garden Chalet will offer mulled wine and holiday treats.

Unforgettable Dining

The Winter Warmer Festival (Nov 12 – Dec 1) features seasonal drinks and treats at iconic venues, while dining spots like Ave Mario and The Ivy Market Grill offer festive menus for an extra-special celebration. Miracle at Henrietta returns with quirky Christmas cocktails perfect for the season.

Festive Thursdays and Family Fun

Covent Garden’s “Festive Thursdays” from November 14 to December 19 will host surprise performances by the London International Gospel Choir. Family-friendly activities at the London Transport Museum and Royal Opera House, including magical performances of Cinderella and Hansel and Gretel.
