From Iceland to Inverness, Omio has revealed the best mode of transport for travellers to reach destinations this winter that are expecting snow, with prices starting from as little as £3.

Inverness, Scotland

Cheapest travel option: Coach Price: Starts from £3

Based in the Scottish Highlands, the city of Inverness has the perfect scenery for a festive trip and is expected to get some flurries of snow in November and December. The cheapest form of travel to Inverness is by coach, with prices starting from as little as £3, depending on where you’re travelling from within the UK. From London, whilst it will take around 12 and half hours to arrive at Inverness, the coach is a budget-friendly option, with prices starting from £28. There are also frequent train journeys to Inverness from destinations across the UK too, with prices starting from as little as £9 and rising to £54 if you’re travelling from London.

Vienna, Austria

Quickest travel option: Flights Price: Starts from £34

The capital of Austria is another European city set to have snow starting at the end of November and into December.

Flying is the quickest and cheapest way to travel to Vienna, with prices starting from as little as £34 and taking around 2 hours from London. However, if you’re in no rush to reach your destination and want to enjoy a scenic journey, coaches run regularly from London, with prices starting from £57 and taking around 30 hours.

Most convenient travel option: Flights Price: Starts from £39

With snow expected to arrive on Friday 15th November for the day, followed by spots of snow showers throughout December, the capital of Iceland is a great place to visit for those looking to get in the festive spirit. Flying is the most convenient form of travel to Reykjavik, with prices starting from as little as £39 if you’re travelling from London, and the duration of the flight only takes around 3 hours.

Oslo, Norway

Cheapest travel option: Flights Price: Starts from £51

Just 2 hours away from London, the capital of Norway is another Scandinavian city that is expected to have snow this December, with AccuWeather predicting flurries starting from the end of November. The best and cheapest mode of travel to get to Oslo from London is by flying, with prices starting from as little as £51.

Helsinki, Finland

Most convenient travel option: Flights Price: Starts from £53

According to AccuWeather, Helsinki is expected to get plenty of snow in December, and with it being just under a 3 hour flight away from London, it’s a great place to visit for a festive trip. Prices for flights from London start from as little as £53, but ensure you check for any changes on your route, as this could increase the duration of your journey.
