Hamleys, the finest toy shop in the world, is inviting families to celebrate a summer jam-packed with sport by taking part in Hamleys Game On! It’s Summer: exhilarating challenges, fun-filled games and action-packed activities, due to run in stores throughout the school holidays.
Budding sports stars inspired by the EUROs and Wimbledon – and those excited for the upcoming Paris Olympics – can hop, skip and jump into Hamleys to experience their own moments of sporting magic.
Families with children of all ages are invited to participate in countless sporting activities on offer every day, from jumbo jamboree games, dino appearances and dance competitions to animal adventure puppet shows, treasure hunts and much, much more.
At Hamley this summer, children can win a special gold medal, build their own trophy, create a sports superstar certificate, and experience the glory of having their name on the leader board in store.
Keane Herman, General Manager at Hamleys of London, said: “With so many big sporting events taking place this summer, we wanted to recreate the excitement and give children the opportunity to participate, compete and experience the thrill of taking part in challenges and games themselves.
There is something for everyone; children of all ages can join our team of energetic Hamleys friends and take part in thrilling, fun, brain-busting and silly challenges. Parents can either be cheerleaders or join in the fun and take part too!
We hope our summer of sport will inspire young athletes of the future. Who knows, the next British Olympic champion may be one of the thousands of children who will experience the magic of Hamleys this summer!”
Little racers with a need for speed can join Cody the Racer in the Racer’s Grand Prix, a thrilling Scalextric race that tests speed, skill and nerve.
Ragdoll, Racer and the rest of the Hamleys friends will host the Symphony of Silly Sports, a game that requires only the silliest sausages to take part. Bringing music, laugher and fun to the front of Hamleys Regent Street store every day.
Everyone’s favorite bear, Hamley Bear, will host a Wheel of Wonder, giving young contenders the opportunity to spin a giant wheel and carry out whatever funny task they’re given, or help him find his lost PE kit in The Hamleys Hunt, taking place at Hamleys in Glasgow and all Hamleys travel stores.
Children can become the newest Hamleys Games Master by taking on the reigning victor of board games, Professor Bubbles, in the Battle of the Games Master or jump into the jamboree fun with the Jumbo Jamboree Games.
Families can join the Hamleys friends for the Grand Parade Pentathlon, lighting up the floor with songs, dance and laughter as they parade from the very bottom to the top of the Regent Street store.
The Hamleys Hectic Heptathlon Puppet Show reveals the best athletes from the animal kingdom, inspiring young competitors to run as fast as cheetahs or leap as high as frogs.
Kids can bust shapes and learn new moves with the energetic Dance of the Champs celebration or get into rhythm and dance in the sun with Ribbon Dancing.
Families visiting the Glasgow store can enjoy roar-some Surprise Dino Experiences to celebrate the Jurassic number of sporting events taking place this summer. Visitors to the Regent Street store may also catch a glimpse of the ‘original radioactive superhero’. The world-famous prehistoric reptilian monster is guaranteed to go down a storm with children of all ages.
From Saturday 20th July, LEGO will launch an out-of-this-world window display at the Regent Street store. To celebrate the space-themed window takeover, Hamleys on Regent Street, Westfield White City and Glasgow St. Enoch will host LEGO Space Make and Take events, offering planet build kits and glow in the dark stickers for children to take home.
Rubble from Paw Patrol, the nation’s favorite English bulldog, will join the fun on Saturday 27th July at Hamleys in Westfield White City, and at Hamleys Regent Street on Sunday 28th July. Rubble on the double!

Winners have the chance to officially open Hamleys on Regent Street by taking center stage at the traditional bell ringing ceremony. A money-can’t-buy prize!
