Tickets for the Ice Rink go on sale 1st October for Braintree Village

Christmas is well and truly on the way at Braintree Village, as the Essex shopping outlet gets set to open ticket sales for its ice rink from this Tuesday, 1st October.

Set to create an enchanting environment for guests to enjoy throughout the fun-filled festive season, the 550-metre undercover ice rink will open to the public on Friday 15th November for over 7 weeks until Sunday 5th January.

Tickets for the Ice Rink will go on sale on Tuesday 1st October for Braintree Village PLUS+ members, allowing them to shop 24 hours in advance with an early bird discount of 20% off. On Wednesday 2nd October, the general sale will start, with an early bird discount of 15% off full price tickets for a limited time.

The pre-bookable 45-minute sessions include skate hire, and skating aids and clip-on bob skates will be on offer to ensure mini skaters stay steady as they skate. What’s more, there will be a range of sessions offered to suit everyone’s needs, including disco sessions, quiet sessions, parent and toddler sessions and exclusive hire for private events. The ice rink will also be accessible for wheelchair users.

Featuring real ice, and designed and installed by Icescape, the custom-built ice rink will be located adjacent to the top of the North Car Park and will provide skaters with a captivating festive atmosphere for anyone looking to enjoy Christmas shopping.

Josef O’Sullivan, Centre Director of Braintree Village, commented: “The recent announcement of the return of our ice rink was met with great excitement from our guests, after a tremendously successful first season.

“We would advise that guests book in their ice rink sessions early to avoid disappointment and to take advantage of the fantastic early bird discounts on offer.

“The ice rink will be extra special this year as Braintree Village is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Watch this space for some exciting events to add a touch of festive sparkle to outlet shopping here this Christmas.”

Tickets for ice-skating sessions are priced from £12 for children under 12, £14 for adults and from £44 for a family. Guests are urged to book now to avoid disappointment. For more details and for tickets, visit: https://braintree-village.com/articles/ice-rink-returns-2024
