To determine the average cost of a full outfit, the research examined the top five most popular items across jumpers, T-shirts, dresses (girls), jeans, and coats.
Sainsbury’s own line TU Clothing claims second place for both boys and girls, averaging £44.70 and £47.75, respectively.
George at ASDA ranks third for girls, with a full outfit averaging £48.65, while Tesco’s F&F takes third place for boys at £50.30.
For girls, Tesco’s F&F comes in fourth, with a full outfit averaging £62.50, and Morrisons’ Nutmeg claims fourth for boys at £50.60.
Top Supermarket Fashion Brands
George at ASDA consistently ranks as the most affordable supermarket brand. A full outfit from ASDA costs £61.25 on average, with Nutmeg at Morrisons and TU by Sainsbury’s following closely behind at £66.63 and £66.01 respectively. Tesco’s F&F is slightly more expensive, while Marks & Spencer’s M&S Collection tops the price scale, with a typical outfit averaging £115.65.
Affordable Fashion for Women
For women, George at ASDA offers the best value, with dresses averaging £14.40—less than half the price of those at M&S. Similarly, ASDA offers the most budget-friendly options for jumpers and jeans, with other brands like Nutmeg at Morrisons and TU at Sainsbury’s offering competitive prices, particularly on outerwear and T-shirts.
