Fuelling the imagination through the magic and wonder of puppetry, Little Angel Theatre produce groundbreaking, innovative puppetry shows for children and their families.

Shows on over February half term:

A Squash and a Squeeze February – 27 April 2025, ages 3-8, Little Angel Studios

Based on the original book A Squash and a Squeeze – written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Step into the magical world of A Squash and a Squeeze live on stage! Once upon a time, a little old lady lived all by herself in her cosy cottage, but she wasn’t happy – her house felt just too small.  Whatever could she do?  Will the wise old man’s solution of bringing in a flappy, scratchy, greedy, noisy crowd of farmyard animals work?
Join us for this heartwarming and hilarious adventure, full of beautiful puppets and enchanting songs. Written and illustrated by the unparalleled picture book partnership of Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, and adapted for the stage by Oliver-nominated duo Barb Jungr and Samantha Lane.

Miniature Travelling Circus 15 February – 19 April 2025, ages 2-5, Little Angel Theatre

Roll up! Roll up! Take your seats for the smallest circus in town. George the ringmaster has quite the challenge on their hands. The circus isn’t quite what it once was but even still, George has curated a programme of acts more bedazzling than ever.

But first they must make sure all of the acts are ready to razzle-dazzle. Where on earth is Flop? And why is Smelly Dog making all that fuss?
Join Little Angel’s Miniature Travelling Circus and be delighted by beautiful puppets, nostalgic magic tricks and acts so tiny you may wonder how you can possibly see them! From performing mice to acrobatic fleas – this circus has stars you won’t see anywhere else!

Your children will get to design their own monstrous puppet, either an archenemy to their superhero puppet, or a standalone evil doer, that they will then get to bring to life with help from our expert team.

Our Puppet Playcations are full days from 10:00 – 16:00 and are kids only! Children are supervised by our experienced staff throughout the day.
