This February half term, The Postal Museum and Faber-Castell are partnering to bring some fairytale magic to the museum, inspired by a new exhibition celebrating 40 years of The Jolly Postman.

Using art materials from Faber-Castell, families can unlock their creativity through a series of workshops throughout February Half Term and beyond.

All family activities are included with a ticket to The Postal Museum at no extra cost, along with The Jolly Postman exhibition and a ride on the underground postal railway Mail Rail, offering fantastic value for a London family day out.

The Jolly Postman Arts & Crafts: Deliver to Fairy-tale Land

In this creative, hands-on activity, families will be invited to help the Jolly Postman work out where to deliver his letters by crafting clues to help him find the right fairytale character’s home.

Afterwards, draw or write your own message to your favourite fairytale character using art materials and fun Grippy pencils provided by our friends at Faber-Castell.

Perfect for ages 3 and up, with lots for grown-ups to enjoy too.

Family Storytelling

Help the Jolly Postman deliver the post in a magical storytelling experience inspired by Janet and Allan Ahlberg’s much-loved book.

Hop on your bike and follow an interactive delivery round full of songs, signs, rhymes and humour. This facilitator-led 45-minute storytelling session is packed with props, rhymes and hands-on magic moments.

Best suited for children aged 3–8, but all welcome!
