Families can now sign up for one of the UK’s most inspiring inclusive sporting events. Superhero Tri returns to Dorney Lake, Windsor on 15 August 2026 to celebrate its tenth anniversary. This unique event invites disabled participants of all ages to take part in a fun and empowering challenge. This is the UK’s only mass participation sports event for people with disabilities.
Built for everyday superheroes
Founded by Sophia Warner, the event focuses fully on accessibility and inclusion. Superhero Tri removes barriers by allowing flexible equipment and no cut-off times. As a result, participants complete challenges in ways that suit their needs. Friends and family can also join as Sidekicks, offering support throughout the course. This approach builds confidence and strengthens community connections.
Choose your mission challenge
Participants can select from three distances, depending on ability and comfort level. Each route includes swimming, cycling and pushing or running stages. However, the focus stays on enjoyment, not competition. Over 60,000 missions have already been completed since the event launched in 2016. Now, organisers expect over 5,500 participants in 2026, making this the biggest event yet.

Supported by The Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland and powered by Marvel, the event blends sport with imagination. Disney VoluntEARS help run activities and cheer participants along the course. Costumes remain a key highlight, with capes, masks and creative outfits everywhere. This playful atmosphere helps children and adults feel confident and included.
