Thorpe Park Fright Nights is back for its 25th year, running on selected dates from 2 October to 1 November 2026 at the Surrey theme park. The big news for this anniversary season is Tenement, a brand-new scare maze that plunges visitors into almost total darkness with just one failing torch to share between the group.
The event runs from 3pm to 9pm on Fright Nights dates. Parents should note that Fright Nights is recommended for ages 13 and over, and the Survival Games maze is rated 15.
Tenement: Thorpe Park’s first pitch-black scare maze
Tenement is billed as Thorpe Park’s first fully immersive, pitch-black maze. Guests make their way through an abandoned apartment block where the power has failed, the residents have disappeared and something is closing in.
With only a flickering handheld light to guide them, visitors have to find their way through reflections, illusions and sensory scares while being stalked by whatever is hiding in the dark.
Ruth Storey, Vice President at Thorpe Park, said watching the maze “genuinely get the better of people who thought they’d seen it all” was the perfect start to what the park is calling its biggest and boldest Fright Nights yet.
Four returning Fright Nights mazes
Tenement joins four fan favourites, giving 2026 the biggest maze line-up in years:
- Trailers returns to the SuperSpark Cinema with a new screening, Blood Red Roses, which twists classic horror nightmares into something darker.
- Stitches reopens Howell’s Toy Emporium, where creepy toys are looking for new additions to their collection.
- Survival Games sends guests through a maze of shifting pathways, assassins and obstacles. This one is rated 15.
- DeadBeat drags partygoers into an underground nightclub where the music never stops.
Scare zones, shows and rides in the dark
Away from the mazes, Purgatory Town returns as the park’s speak-to-scare zone, with new residents ready to share their stories. Guests can also come face to face with the Lord of Darkness in Lucifer’s Lair, while The Crows roam the park spreading silent terror.
Creature Campus: Reunion Reckoning is back with a high-energy live show. New for 2026, the Rebel Ball takes over The Launch Pad with music, dance and fire performances.
Once the sun goes down, the park’s biggest coasters can be ridden in the dark. That includes Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster, along with THE SWARM, SAW – The Ride, Stealth and Nemesis Inferno.
Celebrities brave the launch night
The season opened with a preview evening on Thursday 1 October. Guests included Chris Hughes and Jojo Siwa, Katie Price and daughter Princess Andre, Lethal Bizzle, Ekin Su, Dan Osborne, Casey O’Gorman, Katie Piper, footballer Emile Smith Rowe and boyband December 10, who tackled Tenement, Purgatory Town and rides in the dark.
