 On until – 5th July 2015 A seven week programme will include a huge record-breaking attempt on the waterfront on 4th July.

Transatlantic 175 4th July – 5th July 2015 a special two day programme of events curated by British designer Wayne Hemmingway. The weekend will mark the cultural connections between Liverpool and America.

Saturday 4th July will see a Guinness World Record attempt at the most people on a catwalk, sponsored by Very.co.uk.  The Very Big After Party will follow Saturday 4th July, a musical extravaganza on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront.

Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th July  Vintage on the Dock will celebrate the cultural and musical past of Liverpool and America with a free vintage spectacle for all ages to enjoy.

Saturday 4th – Sunday 5th July  Over the weekend you will be able to ‘Eat the Atlantic’ on Mann Island, with a selection of food from the North West alongside delicious international dishes.

Sunday 5th July will see Liverpool welcome one hundred and seventy-five of the finest veteran, vintage and classic cars and bikes, taking part in a historic Transatlantic 175 car cavalcade through the heart of the city.

Sunday 5th July The festivities will conclude with the departure of Queen Mary 2 on as she departs for America from the Liverpool cruise terminal, echoing the first ever Cunard transatlantic passenger sailing of RMS Britannia which took place from Liverpool back in 1840.

2nd July – 6th September Tickle the Ivories at Liverpool ONE  The sound of music will once again fill the streets of Liverpool as the North West’s favourite piano festival, Tickle the Ivories, returns this summer!

Six pianos will be dotted around Liverpool ONE, celebrating the region’s vast musical talent. The festival, now in its fifth year, is open to people of all ages and best of all it is completely free to take part. 22 July – 31 August Captain Pool’s Adventures in Chavasse Park  It’s all hands on deck this summer as Liverpool ONE’s latest seafaring family adventure is set to sail in to Chavasse Park. Budding swashbucklers are invited to join in maritime themed activities every day from 11am – 5pm including performances, stories, craft activities and interactive games. Why not make a day of it by picking up or packing a lunch to unwind with in one of ten themed picnic boats dotted around the five-acre park.
