Nex Playground is a games console that gets the whole family moving, using AI-powered motion tracking instead of controllers, wearables or VR headsets. All players need is the console, a TV and a bit of floor space, and its library of more than 60 games covers everyone from toddlers to teenagers to parents looking for a proper workout.
The system works by turning real movement into gameplay. A camera reads the player’s actions, whether that’s flapping arms to fly, throwing a punch, or dancing along to a routine, and translates them straight into the game on screen.
Games for every age
For the youngest players, Sesame Street titles offer instant recognition. In Cookie Monster’s Cookie Factory, children help wrangle treats on a conveyor belt to build early hand-eye coordination, while Elmo & Abby’s Magical Letter Hunt has them flapping their arms to soar through the sky and catch letters. Elmo Says turns following instructions into a game, helping sharpen listening skills along the way.
Slightly older children who want more of a challenge can strike, kick and defend alongside Po and the Furious Five in Kung Fu Panda, or choose a dragon and use body motion to fly, train and defend the Isle of Berk in How to Train Your Dragon.
For teens, Fruit Ninja brings the mobile classic to full-body play, with players slicing fruit, dodging bombs and climbing the leaderboard to test their reflexes against friends and siblings.
And for parents, Zumba: Fitness Party is Nex Playground’s first Zumba experience, with new routines added every month. It’s approachable enough for beginners but sweaty enough for anyone who wants a proper dance workout.
