Yoto has unveiled a brand-new version of its screen-free audio player, and it’s available to pre-order from today, 10 September 2026.
The Yoto Player 4th Gen and Yoto Mini 4th Gen are the latest models in the brand’s flagship range. For anyone who hasn’t come across it, the Yoto Player is a child-friendly speaker that plays audio content from Yoto Cards, bought separately, or from the Yoto app. Content ranges from audiobooks like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Chronicles of Narnia to music from bands like Queen.
What’s new on the Yoto Player 4th Gen?
The headline feature is a new Green Button on the side of the player. Parents set up a child’s favourite sounds in the app beforehand, and the child can then access up to 20 playlisted titles instantly, without needing to find and insert a physical card.
There’s also a new night light panel with seven colour options, which can double up as a bedtime cue or an Ok-to-Wake signal. The new models are tougher too, with IP67 puddle-proofing, a faster processor, and a jump up to 64GB of storage, enough for around 1,000 hours of audio.
Release date and price
Both new models are open for pre-order now. The Yoto Mini 4th Gen starts shipping on 30 September, with the Yoto Player 4th Gen following on 15 October.
The Yoto Player 4th Gen costs £119.99 and the Yoto Mini 4th Gen costs £89.99, both a price increase on the previous generation, which started at £89.99 and £59.99. Yoto says the jump reflects the extra storage and new features.
You can pre-order both models directly from Yoto today, with the Yoto Player 4th Gen also coming soon to Amazon.
