Leeds Castle Summer Events 2026: What’s On in Kent

Leeds Castle in Kent reveals its summer 2026 events, including Little People BIG DREAMS, Motors by the Moat, and its own sandy beach for families.

Leeds Castle in Kent has revealed its summer events line-up, with a run of activities included in the standard ticket price from late July through to the end of August. Highlights include a new partnership with the Little People, BIG DREAMS book series, the return of Motors by the Moat, and the castle’s own sandy beach.

Summertime at Leeds Castle: 22 July to 31 August

The castle’s flagship summer event, Summertime at Leeds Castle, runs from 22nd July to 31st August. This year it features a partnership with Little People, BIG DREAMS, the bestselling series of children’s books that introduces young readers to inspiring real-life figures.

The series, already a firm favourite in primary schools, covers subjects including Taylor Swift, Mary Earps, Marie Curie and Anna Pavlova, and the Leeds Castle event brings their stories to life for visiting families.

Motors by the Moat: 8th and 9th August

Car enthusiasts can head to Leeds Castle on 8th and 9th August for Motors by the Moat. The event draws crowds well beyond the usual family day-out audience and has become one of the castle’s biggest annual draws.

The Beach at Leeds Castle

Away from the headline events, Leeds Castle has its own beach for the summer, complete with sand for building castles, deck chairs, and ice cream. It won’t bring you the sea, but it does bring a proper seaside feel to the Kent countryside.

The Beach sits opposite the castle’s Maze & Grotto, putting it within easy reach of two playgrounds, an obstacle course, and the birds of prey displays. There are also views over the Great Water, and a walk through the Lady Baillie Mediterranean Gardens makes for a calm way to end the day.

All of the summer events are included in the price of general admission to Leeds Castle.
