Ladies Day is back at Lingfield Park Racecourse on Saturday 22 August, bringing together an afternoon of live horse racing, fashion, food, entertainment and plenty of opportunities to dress up.
With six thrilling flat races, the return of the FussPotts Style Awards and a live DJ set from Vernon Kay after racing, this year’s event is set to be a lively day out for racegoers.
Green is the colour for Ladies Day
This year’s theme is ‘Green Dress Ladies Day’, inspired by the viral videos of Lingfield Park’s groundsmen wearing green dresses in an ode to Vernon Kay.
Racegoers can embrace the theme with a head-to-toe green outfit or simply add a subtle green accessory to their look. There is plenty of inspiration to be found in Lingfield Park’s Ladies Day Style Guide for anyone planning their race-day outfit.
Win £500 in the FussPotts Style Awards
Ladies Day is one of the racecourse’s most stylish fixtures of the year, and the FussPotts Style Awards will be returning for 2026.
Judges will be looking out for the best-dressed racegoers, with the winner taking home £500 in cash. Second place will receive a £100 FussPotts Boutique voucher and a £70 afternoon tea at Cyprium Bar & Grill, while third place will win a £25 Bishops & Haig Windsor handbag.
To enter, racegoers should head to the flower wall by Owners & Trainers.
The flower wall will also have a beauty makeover this year, with The Spa at Lingfield taking over the space. The team will be offering free hair styling and race-day make-up touch-ups, helping guests keep their look fresh throughout the afternoon and evening.
Food, drinks and cocktails
There will be a selection of food, drink and hospitality options available around the racecourse, whether you’re looking for a quick bite between races or somewhere to enjoy celebratory drinks with friends.
Gates open at 3.10pm, and for the first hour there will be 50% off draught drinks, including Guinness, lager, cider, bitter and soft drinks. A first pint could cost from £3.25.
There will also be £10 off bottles of house wine, Prosecco, Champagne and jugs of Pimm’s during the opening hour.
For those looking to make more of the occasion, the Cocktail & Canter package costs £49 and includes access to the public Grandstand areas, pre-parade ring, parade ring, public bars and eateries, plus a 1,100ml jug of Margarita, Pina Colada or Mojito.
Racing followed by Vernon Kay
There are six flat races on the card, with the first race due off at 5.10pm and the final race at 7.45pm.
But the evening doesn’t finish when the racing does. After the final race, Vernon Kay will take to the decks for a live DJ set, giving racegoers the chance to continue the celebrations into the evening.
