Families can get into the festive spirit this Christmas as Light Post Farm returns to White Post Farm & Zoo in Nottinghamshire, bringing a sparkling after-dark trail, animal encounters and exciting new light displays.
Running on selected evenings from 21 November to 23 December 2026, the popular festive attraction promises a magical experience for all ages, with new features to discover alongside some much-loved favourites.
The award-winning attraction will be transformed into a dazzling 1km Christmas trail, where visitors can explore the illuminated farm and meet its animals, with newborn lambs expected to arrive in December.
New music, lights and lasers
One of this year’s biggest additions is a brand-new music, light and laser show, which will transform the farm’s pond into a spectacular display. Vibrant colours, captivating lighting effects and a specially curated soundtrack will bring an extra touch of magic to the evening.
Visitors can also enjoy the returning Light Maze, an immersive experience filled with dazzling lights, alongside a sparkling triangular walkway offering plenty of opportunities for memorable family photos.
Now in its third year, Light Post Farm has become a festive favourite, with families praising the displays, friendly staff, animal encounters and activities for children.
One visitor described the combination of attractions as a “win-win situation”, saying: “Not only do you get to enjoy the lights but also get to enjoy the animals too.”
Another mum, who visited with her 12-year-old boys, said: “We go to see Christmas lights somewhere every year. This was by far our favourite. I loved the porcupine too and the goats are super friendly; they don’t try to eat your clothes!”
Meet the animals and enjoy festive treats
Animal lovers will have plenty to look forward to, with new species and improved enclosures creating more opportunities to discover the farm’s residents. Among the newer arrivals is Alf the tapir, while further baby animals are expected to add to the excitement.
The giant Christmas tree in the Silver Barn will also have a special story behind it, featuring decorations created by students with special educational needs (SEN) from Nottingham College.
There will be festive food and drink available to help visitors warm up during their adventure, including crumble pots in apple and cinnamon, apple and blackberry, and toffee apple flavours. A secret festive menu item will provide another treat to discover.
Following popular demand, additional dog-friendly evenings have been added, with four-legged family members welcome every Thursday throughout the event.
