Martinhal Family Hotels & Resorts has launched new Extended Summer packages at its two Algarve resorts, Martinhal Sagres Family Beach Resort and Martinhal Quinta do Lago Family Resort. The offers run from 5th September to 16th October 2026, with prices starting at €189 (£161) per night.
The move comes as UK families increasingly swap the traditional August getaway for a September break. According to ABTA, 24% of UK travellers were planning a September holiday in 2025, up from 17% in 2023, and the trend is expected to grow further in 2026, with warmer prices, fewer crowds and milder weather among the draws.
Deals at Martinhal Sagres Family Beach Resort
Martinhal Sagres is a five star beachfront resort with multiple heated pools, an award winning kids’ club and baby concierge service, plus more than 3,000m² of play areas for children.
Extended Summer rates at Sagres include:
- 1 to 2 nights: Beach Room (2 adults + 1 baby) from €260 per night with breakfast, or a 2-Bedroom Garden House (up to 2 adults + 2 children + 1 baby) from €278 per night, self-catering.
- 3 to 6 nights: Beach Room from €245 per night with breakfast, or Garden House from €262 per night, self-catering.
- 7 nights or more (stay 7, pay for 6): Beach Room from €210 per night with breakfast, or Garden House from €225 per night, self-catering.
All rates include use of the indoor and outdoor heated pools, the Beach Hangout, minigolf, gym, zip-line, climbing wall and Pump Track, plus complimentary Wi-Fi. Families staying seven nights or more also get 10% off meal supplements and 20% off pre-booked spa treatments.
Deals at Martinhal Quinta do Lago Family Resort
In the Quinta do Lago area, Martinhal’s resort offers two and three bedroom townhouses and three and four bedroom villas, each with a private pool and garden, making it a good option for multi-generational trips or larger groups.
Extended Summer rates at Quinta do Lago include:
- 1 to 3 nights: 2-Bedroom Townhouse (2 adults + 2 children + 1 baby) from €235 per night, or a 4-Bedroom Villa (sleeping up to 4 adults, 4 children and 2 babies) from €422 per night, self-catering.
- 4 to 6 nights: Townhouse from €221 per night, or Villa from €397 per night, self-catering.
- 7 nights or more (stay 7, pay for 6): Townhouse from €189 per night, or Villa from €340 per night, self-catering.
Rates include a welcome pack, gym access, use of the resort’s heated indoor and outdoor pools, the Family Blue Room, children’s playgrounds, the Resort Mercado Deli & Bake, Villa Delivery service and a complimentary Baby Concierge Service with baby equipment provided.
