Alton Towers Resort has opened Minecraft Meet the Mobs, running from 18 July through 28 August 2026 and included with standard theme park admission. It’s described as the first official Minecraft experience of its kind in the UK.
A Trail Through Six Minecraft Scenes
The event places six Minecraft-inspired scenes around the park, alongside character encounters, an interactive trail, themed food, and merchandise. Families can follow the Meet the Mobs Trail to find newly created “baby Mobs” positioned around the six scenes, stamping a game card as they go.
Meet the Mobs in Person
Visitors can get up close with favourite characters at meet-and-greets, including the Creeper, Iron Golem, Chicken Jockey, axolotl, baby panda, chick, and baby wolf, with plenty of photo opportunities. A dedicated Minecraft Hub also hosts a full programme of activities, alongside themed snack stands and exclusive merchandise.
An Exclusive In-Game Reward
Guests who complete the trail and stamp their game card can unlock an exclusive Minecraft downloadable in-game reward, only available to unlock in the UK at Alton Towers.
The event is included in the price of standard admission, making it an easy addition to a regular day out at the park.
