EE and Nintendo have teamed up to bring Wuhu Island to the EE Studio in Westfield, White City, giving fans an exclusive sneak preview of the hotly anticipated Nintendo Switch Sports Resort. The takeover runs until 13 August, ahead of the game’s launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on Thursday, 22 October.
The new game reimagines the cult classic that turned millions of living rooms into makeshift bowling alleys and tennis courts. Visitors to the Studio will be among the first to try it out, picking up nostalgic sports like tennis, volleyball, bowling, basketball, golf, boxing and table tennis, or trying new additions including skateboarding, thumb wrestling and power cruising.

We know that gamers can’t wait to experience the magic of Wuhu Island in 4K, so we’re excited to give them an exclusive first look at the EE Studio.”

Gaming Zone Tournaments and a Mario Meet-and-Greet
The Nintendo takeover continues from 14 to 16 August with multiplayer tournaments in the Studio’s Gaming Zone. Visitors can step inside a Mario-themed go-kart and battle it out on Mario Kart World, or try the latest release, Star Fox, a remake of the cult classic Star Fox 64. Winners of the hourly tournaments can expect a host of prizes.
Shoppers can also meet Mario in person, as he steps out of last year’s biggest gaming release, Mario Kart World, to welcome visitors and pose for photos with gamers old and new.
The takeover is part of EE’s ongoing ambition to become the UK’s number one destination for gaming, building on a growing range of gaming experiences, partnerships and exclusive offers. The EE Studio, which opened in June 2023, is the UK’s largest telco retail space, combining physical and digital experiences across dedicated zones, including the Gaming Zone.
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort for Nintendo Switch 2 is now available to pre-order through EE.
