Little Learners Promote Reading Skills

According to a study by the National Literacy Trust the time children spend reading is decreasing, with only 3 in 10 children reading regularly in their own time and more than 2 in 10 children saying that they rarely or never read in leisure time.1

At the same time, studies by the charity Bookstart have shown that sharing books with babies is an important way to encourage reading and help children to become better readers: “the parent who makes book reading a rich event is helping his or her child to develop a familiarity with how books work and what you need to do to read one. Engaged shared reading was also shown to support the more sophisticated skills of story comprehension and story production.”2

Supported by the latest research, the Little Learners series is designed to encourage and enable

parents to share books with their babies from birth.Readingwith children has never been more

important, more special, or more fun!

Little Learners are available at all major retailers including Tesco, WH Smith, Sainsbury’s, Amazon and Early Learning Centre.
