Eden Camp reveal exciting line-up of summer events 

Eden Camp, the popular modern history museum in North Yorkshire is thrilled to unveil its exciting range of events for this summer, promising an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages. From captivating Tank Talks, Weapon Talks and handling, to the new Scarborough Bombardment Trail, the museum offers a unique opportunity to delve into modern history through immersive and engaging activities.

  • Tank Talks

Every afternoon join the Eden Camp Heritage Restorations team as they talk you through some of the fantastic historic vehicles on display, including M50 Sherman tank, T34 tank and CVRTs.

  • Weapon Talks and Handling

Every day between 1pm and 3pm Eden Camps expert guides take you through the evolution and significance of various guns, sharing intriguing stories and facts along the way. From vintage rifles to iconic pistols, discover how these weapons shaped history and influenced pivotal moments.

  • Scarborough Bombardment Trail

A trail available everyday marking 110 years since the German bombardment on Scarborough

  • Peg Planes Craft Activity – every Wednesday: 24 & 31 July, 7, 14, 21 & 28 August

Craft a peg plane from scratch, decorate it and let it dry so the plane is ready to fly or turn into a fridge magnet.

  • WWI Tack Biscuit Making – 25 July, 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 August

Join in the cooking fun and make your own tack biscuits. Discover how WWI soldiers relied on these long-lasting, albeit not-so-tasty, biscuits during trench warfare.

  • Egg Box Tanks Craft Activity – Fridays: 26 July, 9 & 23 August

Repurpose egg cartons by adding colourful paint, recycled materials and simple decorations to create unique toy tanks. The hands-on session encourages creativity and environmental awareness through recycling. All materials are provided and everyone will get to take home their egg box tank masterpiece.

?All events are included with general admission to the museum. Tickets to visit Eden Camp are £17 for adults, £15 online, and children 5 to 16 are £14, or £13 online offering families and visitors to North Yorkshire an affordable and unforgettable day out.
