Olympic creates Interest in BMX for kids

Searches for “BMX Racing” and “BMX Freestyle” have surged by 79% and 70% in the last 30 days  The Paris 2024 Olympics are in full swing and the UK public is already tuning in – at least 58% according to a recent YouGov survey.

This year, Team GB welcomes 14 teen Olympians to its ranks, with the youngest competitor being Sky Brown who made history as the youngest-ever Olympic medallist by winning skateboarding park bronze at Tokyo 2020 at just 13 years old.

Already, searches for “skateboarding” increased by 75% in July 2024 while searches for “BMX Racing” and “BMX Freestyle” have spiked by 79% and 70%, respectively, in the last 30 days alone.

Research also shows more than half (52.1%) of children aged 5 to 10 said that the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, encouraged them to take part in sports.
