Helping unpaid carers access their carers’ rights
Thursday 21st November marks Carers’ Rights Day, an important day dedicated to helping unpaid carers across the UK. Surrey charity Action for Carers is leading the way by hosting Carer Information Fairs from Monday 18th to Saturday 23rd November.
Ten information fairs across Surrey
Action for Carers is running ten Carer Information Fairs at various locations throughout Surrey, ensuring that unpaid carers receive the support and information they need. The fairs are drop-in events, taking place in Cranleigh, Woking, Godalming, Ashford, Camberley, Epsom, Farnham, Leatherhead, Merstham, and Guildford. These events run from 11 am to 2 pm.
Offering advice and support
Action for Carers’ staff, along with representatives from statutory services, local charities, and partners, will attend the fairs. These experts are ready to offer advice, information, and support tailored to unpaid carers. The aim is to make carers aware of their rights, and to help them access the assistance they deserve. It is worth getting as much advice as possible.
Helping unpaid carers
Unpaid carers often go unrecognised, despite their essential role in supporting loved ones. Attending one of these fairs can make a huge difference in understanding carers’ rights and finding the support available. Whether you care for a family member or a friend, these fairs can help you navigate the challenges of caregiving.
