Súper Chefs tours the UK this autumn
Súper Chefs, an exciting bilingual Latin American show, will tour the UK this October and November. With performances in London, Bristol, Cambridge, Sheffield, Merseyside, Birmingham, and York, this unique production offers families an entertaining blend of food, music, and culture.
A fun and educational show for families
Súper Chefs is designed for children aged 4-8 and their families. The show introduces audiences to the vibrant world of Spanglish, Latin rhythms, and the importance of food in family life. Through music, storytelling, and live cooking, Súper Chefs delivers an authentic portrayal of Latine culture that is sure to delight.
The story follows six-year-old Manny as he prepares a welcome-home meal for his father. With the help of his mother, grandmother, and superhero sidekick, Manny learns valuable lessons about teamwork, family, and cultural heritage. Along the way, the show challenges gender stereotypes, especially in the kitchen, and encourages children to embrace cooking as a joyful and creative activity.
Music, food, and cultural celebration
One of the highlights of Súper Chefs is its immersive experience. Children and families will enjoy catchy music and interactive storytelling while learning about Latin American culture. The live cooking element makes the show even more engaging, as audiences get to see how food plays a central role in family life and tradition.
The show provides a wonderful opportunity for families to explore new cultures, reminding everyone that the kitchen is a place for everyone to participate. Whether you’re familiar with Latin American cuisine or it’s new to you, Súper Chefs will inspire children to get involved in the kitchen and experiment with new dishes.
Educational value and curriculum alignment
In addition to being a fun and engaging show, Súper Chefs aligns with the national curriculum across several subjects. With educational resources available for schools, it serves as an excellent tool to introduce children to different cultures, languages, and the importance of food.
