British & Irish Lions Kick for greatness: Howden and Lions legends launch the 2025 jersey
Howden, Principal Partner for the British & Irish Lions, kicked off celebrations for the 2025 Lions men’s jersey launch with a unique event in London on 7th November. Fans took part in the “Kick for Greatness” challenge alongside Lions legends Will Greenwood and Maggie Alphonsi, sparking excitement for the upcoming tour.
A chance to kick for a British & Irish Lions experience
Howden’s “Kick for Greatness” event invited fans to score a goal through the Howden ‘H’. There is the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime prize: tickets to the Lions’ warm-up game against Argentina. It takes place on 20th June 2025 at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium, plus behind-the-scenes access to the Lions’ squad training.
Every participant received a mini rugby ball and entered the prize draw. Rugby fans also enjoyed trivia with Will Greenwood and Maggie Alphonsi, competing for the new 2025 British & Irish Lions jersey – adding extra excitement ahead of the Lions’ tour in Australia next summer.
British & Irish Lions legends inspire the crowd
Speaking at the event, former England star Will Greenwood, who represented the Lions on three tours, said, “There’s something special about the Lions Tour that unites rugby fans everywhere. With the backing of partners like Howden, the upcoming tour in Australia is set to be one to remember!”
Maggie Alphonsi, an England rugby icon and a groundbreaking member of the Rugby Football Union Council, also attended, engaging fans with her knowledge and passion for the sport.
