Cinderella Ice Cream Seller: Christmas treat in Oxford

Cinderella Ice Cream

Looking for festive family fun this Christmas? The Story Museum in Oxford premieres the delightful Cinderella Ice Cream Seller. This is a brand-new musical show, running from 21st to 31st December 2024.

A fresh twist on a beloved classic

Written and composed by award-winning author and musician David Gibb (David Gibb’s Family Jukebox, Rolling Down the Road), this whimsical retelling picks up after Cinderella’s happily-ever-after. Instead of focusing on palace life, the story reveals how Cinderella became a multimillionaire with her own ice cream empire.

Through nine original songs, live music, and theatrical magic, this heartwarming tale follows Cinderella’s rise from a penniless street seller to a successful businesswoman. You’ll meet Talvi and Caldwell, her loyal employees, as they share her story of determination and magic while exploring their own dreams.

David Gibb describes the show as “a little show with a big heart, perfect for children and enjoyable for grown-ups too.”

Cinderella Ice Cream Seller: Perfect family entertainment

This 60-minute performance offers an ideal introduction to theatre for young audiences while providing plenty of charm for adults. Shows run daily at 11:00 and 14:30, with a relaxed performance on 23rd December at 11:00.

The Story Museum, Oxford’s treasured cultural hub, offers an intimate setting perfect for experiencing the festive magic of Cinderella Ice Cream Seller.
