Discover the Science Behind Aviation
Budding engineers and aviation enthusiasts can meet real-life aviation professionals at Careers Live, an interactive event hosted in Technicians: The David Sainsbury Gallery. Learn about the essential but often unseen work of technicians in aviation and engineering, with experts from the Civil Aviation Authority and National Grid on hand to share their knowledge.
Step Into Space
Visitors can get up close to space rockets, see a piece of the Moon, and marvel at the Soyuz spacecraft that brought astronaut Tim Peake safely back to Earth. Head to the Exploring Space gallery to experience the wonders of space exploration and learn about humanity’s journey beyond our planet.

- Power Up – Test your gaming skills on over 160 consoles with hundreds of video games from past and present.
- Wonderlab: The Equinor Gallery – See science in action with live experiments and interactive exhibits.
- Astronights – Experience a museum sleepover, complete with activities, shows, and a night among the exhibits.
Versailles: Science and Splendour
Step into the grandeur of Versailles in this captivating exhibition, which explores how science was used as a symbol of power at the French palace.
Art and Science in Medicine
In Medicine: The Wellcome Galleries, visitors can see Silent Stories, a moving glass sculpture series by Katharine Dowson, reflecting the experiences of people with head and neck cancer.
