A Spooktacular Halloween Awaits at Stonor Park

Get ready to enter a world of enchantment and eerie excitement at Stonor Park this Halloween. The historic estate in Oxfordshire is hosting a spellbinding Halloween experience perfect for families. Located near Henley-on-Thames, just a 45-minute drive from west London, Stonor Park promises a bewitching array of activities that will delight visitors of all ages.

The Moon Witch’s Halloween Adventure

From Saturday, 19th October, to Sunday, 3rd November, Stonor Park will be transformed into a realm of mystical mayhem. The highlight of the event is The Moon Witch’s Halloween Adventure, where families can immerse themselves in spooky stories and enchanting escapades. This unique experience is set against the stunning backdrop of the estate’s gardens and the magical Tumblestone Hollow adventure playground.

Spellbinding Stories and Magical Trails

Visitors will be treated to atmospheric readings from “The Moon Witch and The Thief,” a captivating story from the Tumblestone Tales series, written exclusively for Stonor Park by best-selling children’s author Amy Sparkes. Following the success of her previous book, “The Legend of Tumblestone Hollow,” this new tale follows the Moon Witch’s quest to steal the powerful moon stone.

Lord Camoys, the custodian of Stonor Park, invites families to join in the fun: “Our enchanting children’s book, centered around the Moon Witch’s adventures, comes to life with special readings, a spooky trail, and a frightful pumpkin patch, all within our picturesque parkland and playground. Stonor Park and Tumblestone Hollow become a captivating Halloween wonderland, offering a magical journey filled with spine-tingling surprises.”

Halloween Fun for All Ages

Children can participate in a Halloween Scavenger Hunt, solving rhymes and riddles to uncover bewitching clues. Those who succeed will be rewarded with a chocolate treat. Visitors are also encouraged to dress up in their most frightening costumes, with prizes awarded for the most spook-tacular outfits. A Halloween photo frame will be available for those who want to capture and share their spooky style on social media.

At the pumpkin patch, families can choose their perfect pumpkin, under the watchful eyes of scarecrows designed by local schoolchildren. A prize will be awarded for the best scarecrow, which will earn the winning school a visit to Tumblestone Hollow. Children will also have the opportunity to carve their pumpkins during the visit.

Deliciously Wicked Treats

When hunger strikes, head over to Tumblestone Hollow’s Rumble Hut for some frightfully delicious food. Enjoy wood-fired pizzas with toppings like Petrifying Pepperoni and Monstrous Margherita, along with handmade burgers, creamy hot chocolates, traditional toffee apples, and Italian ice cream.
