The Ice Rink and Winterland to return to Bluewater this Christmas

Bluewater has announced that its Christmas activities, the Ice Rink and Winterland, are set to return for Christmas 2024.

The Ice Rink, in partnership with Sonic the Hedgehog 3, in cinemas December 21, will return from 12th November until Sunday 5th January 2025, whereas Winterland will be open from Saturday 9th November until Sunday 12th January 2025. Both activities will be situated outside the Village, near Zizzi’s.

Offering plenty of fun for guests of all ages, the undercover Ice Rink will be open every day until Sunday 5th January (excluding Christmas Day) and will run quiet sessions, as well as parent and toddler sessions for budding skaters. Penguin and seal skating aids will be available for little ones, and the Ice Rink’s party nights are back by popular demand – playing classic party anthems to soundtrack your skating session.

Tickets for the Ice Rink are on sale now for PLUS+ members, allowing them to shop 24 hours in advance with an early bird discount of 20% off. On Friday 4th October, the general sale will start, with an early bird discount of 15% off full price tickets for a limited time.

Winterland

Bluewater’s magical outdoor, festive event, Winterland, will invite guests to enjoy winter-themed funfair rides including exciting range of white-knuckle rides and family favourites – the bumper cars, waltzers and a double deck carousel.

It will also feature a luminaire promenade and heart shaped lighting which will light the way to the festive fun and provide an Instagrammable backdrop for guests. What’s more, the 40-metre-high Observation Wheel will be returning once again, providing guests with spectacular views over Bluewater and the surrounding Green-Flag status parkland.

James Waugh, Centre Director at Bluewater, commented: “Christmas is truly one of the most magical times of the year here at Bluewater, and we’re pleased to be welcoming back our much-loved Ice Rink and Winterland.

“Alongside our brand-new for 2024, global-first, immersive experience, The Elf On The Shelf® Christmas Adventure, all three activities will offer families a memorable day out this festive season. Every Christmas, our attractions prove to be incredibly popular, so we encourage guests to book early to guarantee their visits.”
