Families can enjoy a fantastic day out this October half term with steam trains, spectacular LEGO® creations and a fun activity for younger visitors at Spa Valley Railway in Tunbridge Wells on 25 and 26 October.
Children aged 15 and under travel for FREE on the heritage railway and can also visit the Model Bricks Galore exhibition for free when accompanied by a paying adult, making this a great-value family day out.
Amazing LEGO® Creations and Heritage Train Journeys
Held inside the historic Engine Shed at Tunbridge Wells West, the Model Bricks Galore exhibition will showcase an impressive variety of creations by talented Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs).
Visitors can expect everything from moving railway scenes and detailed locomotives to aircraft, vehicles, bustling cityscapes and original brick-built designs. There will be plenty to capture children’s imaginations, as well as inspire adults who love the popular building bricks.
Families can make a full day of it by combining the exhibition with a journey through the beautiful High Weald countryside aboard one of the railway’s heritage trains.
Operating to the Green Timetable, services will offer up to five return journeys during the day, giving visitors the opportunity to explore all four Spa Valley Railway stations: Tunbridge Wells West, Groombridge, High Rocks and Eridge.
Can You Solve the LEGO® Minifigure Mystery?
Younger visitors can join in with a LEGO® Minifigure Hunt, searching the exhibition for hidden letters to uncover a railway-themed mystery word.
Those who complete the challenge can enter a prize draw to win a Family Travel Ticket, valid for use on a standard operating day during 2027.
Jonnie Pay, General Manager at Spa Valley Railway, said: “Model Bricks Galore is a brilliant October half-term day out, bringing together two much-loved family activities: inspiring model brick displays and a journey on a heritage railway. It is a memorable way to spend time together this weekend.”
