Gloworm Festival has confirmed its return to Thoresby Park from 13 to 15 August 2027, following what organisers are calling its best year to date. Early Bird tickets for the 2027 festival go on general sale at 10am on Monday, 17 August.
This year’s 10th anniversary edition drew 20,000 attendees, who praised the festival’s entertainment, site layout, relaxed atmosphere and attention to detail. An upgraded camping experience proved popular too, with better facilities, earlier access to the main arena, bigger pitches, a campsite shop and entertainment laid on for early risers.
For some families, Gloworm has become a fixture of the summer calendar. Joe Salmon, from Mansfield, is preparing to celebrate his family’s tenth consecutive year at the festival in 2027.
“Gloworm has become a proper family tradition for us. Our extended family comes from far and wide and every year we all meet up for this one weekend in August,” he said. “We’ve done Gloworm with babies, kids, teenagers, parents and even great-grandparents, and every single year we’ve come away with brilliant memories.”
He added that the ticket-inclusive format is a big part of the appeal for families. “Once you’re through the gates, so much of it is included in the ticket price. They can just spend the weekend exploring, trying things, watching shows and having fun.”
Children at Gloworm can try activities including wrestling, skateboarding, trampolining, parkour, laser tag, axe throwing and circus skills, alongside character meet-and-greets and creative play sessions.
Festival director Richard Walpole said giving children the chance to discover new interests is central to the event. “The weekend is all about making special memories, and families often tell us Gloworm is life-changing for them.”
Popular additions from 2026 will carry over into 2027, including the later 10pm finish for entertainment, early site access for campers and expanded Friday night entertainment.
Tickets and booking
Family camping weekend tickets include three days of entertainment and three nights of camping. Other options include Single Parent Glamping, Pitch and Power, VIP upgrades and Day Tickets.
Organisers are encouraging families who already know they want to attend in 2027 to book early, with payment plans available to help spread the cost.
