Join Sadler’s Wells this Easter for their annual mini festival Family Weekend. They take over the building with an exciting array of activities built around the charming family dance show, Aracaladanza’s Vuelos.

Delve into the work and inventions of Leonardo da Vinci, and see how Vuelos captures the artist’s creativity and imagination on his quest to make man fly. Multi award-winning company Aracaladanza’s has a trademark playful style. Alongside video projections, they make the dancers canter like horses, get messy at the dinner table, play with fluttering birds and grow wings of their own. This brings to life some of da Vinci’s famous works in the process.

Before and after the Sadler’s Wells show.

Sadler’s Wells’ foyers will burst with free fun, following Vuelos’s theme of flight and invention. There’s something for everyone. The whole family can get stuck into the various free games, crafts and activities. They will transform the building with Da Vinci inspired designs by Anna Bruder and her signature style of A Line Art. Spark your creativity with crafts including hat making, screen printing and origami bird-making in the foyer spaces.

Become a choreographer and see your moves performed in the ‘Lets Make a Dance’ workshop. Then head over to the Lilian Baylis Studio for storytelling and bring your dancing shoes for a ceilidh with London’s colourful The Ceilidh Liberation Front. They bring ceilidh music as you’ve never heard it before. There will also be a family-friendly menu served in the Fox Garden Court Café.

Kids’ tickets are just £12. So book now for this day of fantastic family fun. The perfect bank holiday weekend treat.
