Kahoot! sees growth in Japan Kahoot! continues to expand in Japan, with over 60 million participants joining nearly 10 million learning sessions in the past year. Demand from students, teachers, and businesses has led to a 70% year-on-year growth in learning sessions.
Brent Mori, VP at Kahoot! Japan, said: “Student-led sessions have doubled, showing a growing interest in using Kahoot! for learning. We look forward to working with schools and universities through Phase 2 of the GIGA School initiative to enhance digital education.”
Kahoot! supports businesses and workforce learning
Japanese enterprises are also using Kahoot! to improve onboarding, training, and team engagement. In the last year, Kahoot! saw a 70% increase in unique users hosting learning sessions under an enterprise account. Companies use Kahoot! to make workplace learning more interactive and effective.

Mori will work closely with schools, enterprises, and local partners to advance digital education. The company plans to introduce AI-driven tools, offer free premium access, and align with local digital learning initiatives.
