July Summer Children’s theatre in London at Chickenshed Theatre

Theatre fun for young children
Chickenshed’s shows burst with music, puppetry, and interactive fun. Each performance caters to families with children aged 0–8. Shows include Tales Big Day Out,
Sunshine Tales, The Scruffapillar, Opera Blurgh, and Tales Jukebox. Little ones join familiar characters like Blurgh on musical adventures filled with joy.
Creative shows for every age
Sessions feature movement, sign language, rhyme, and storytelling. Highlights include Tales from the British Library and Totally Tales, a fun collaboration with Tales Toolkit. Families enjoy themed workshops, face painting, and surprise activities.
July Summer Fun in Greenwich

Launching 10 July, the programme features a vibrant mix of events and installations, highlights include:
- Rhythm & Taste: Jazz & Food Festival (26 July) - A one-day open-air festival with performances from Steamdown, Shunaji and Queer Jazz, alongside curated street food, natural wines and vinyl DJ sets
- Charity Super.Mkt - A 7-week pop-up showcasing pre-loved fashion from UK charities, curated by Wayne Hemingway MBE and Maria Chenoweth
- Wild Swing Mini Golf - A technicolour course by art duo Graphic Rewilding, inspired by the Peninsula’s natural heritage
- Chromatic River Walk - A large-scale riverside installation by fashion designer Kitty Joseph, transforming the Thames Path into a meditative colour experience
- Summer Street Eats - A rotating selection of food trucks in Peninsula Square, with a pop-up beer garden run by Canteen Food Hall & Bar just steps away
With riverside views, expansive green spaces and a dynamic mix of art, food, fashion and performance, Greenwich Peninsula offers a season-long invitation to explore, play and connect. Nearly all events are free, and all are easily accessible via the Jubilee Line, Uber Boat or London Cable Car.
