Kidspace: Everything you need to know before you go
Quote from Beth Ashton on May 20, 2025, 4:46 pmIf you're planning a family day out and looking for an indoor adventure that will keep your kids active, entertained, and inspired, Kidspace Croydon should be at the top of your list. Located at The Colonnades on Purley Way, this award-winning indoor play centre is packed with activities for children of all ages and offers an exciting mix of physical challenges and creative play. Here's everything you need to know before your visit.
One of the standout features of Kidspace Croydon is its enormous multi-level play frame. It’s one of the largest in the country and is designed to spark exploration and imaginative play. Children can lose themselves in a world of tunnels, rope bridges, cargo nets, slides, and vertical mazes, making it a perfect place to burn off energy and test their climbing skills.
For younger children, the Toddler Village offers a safe and engaging environment. This dedicated area is specially designed with soft play and age-appropriate activities to help toddlers explore and interact at their own pace. Parents can relax nearby while little ones enjoy their own mini adventures.
Kidspace also boasts an indoor go-kart track where older kids can satisfy their need for speed in a safe and supervised setting. For those who love a challenge, the climbing walls are a must-try. Children can build confidence and improve their coordination as they tackle routes suited to different skill levels.
The fun doesn’t stop there. Kidspace is home to the Thunderdome, a lively soft ball arena where kids can play safely with foam projectiles, and the Oceanarium, a virtual aquarium that brings an underwater world to life through immersive technology. Another highlight is Draw Alive, an interactive digital drawing experience where kids can colour their own creations and see them animated on a screen.
For imaginative minds, the Imagination Playground is a creative haven. Using large foam blocks, children can build anything from forts to creatures, letting their imaginations run wild. It’s a great way to encourage problem-solving and teamwork.
If you're celebrating a birthday, Kidspace offers a variety of themed party packages including laser tag and disco parties. These are professionally run, fully catered, and sure to make your child’s special day unforgettable.
