Get your family ready to embark on the brand-new Scarecrow Scramble! Follow this exciting trail and hunt for eight uniquely named scarecrows hidden across the Beaulieu grounds. From the enchanting Beaulieu Abbey Ruins and stunning Victorian Gardens to Palace House and the National Motor Museum, you’ll need to search high and low to spot all the scarecrows. Once you’ve found them, head to the Bothy in the Victorian Vegetable Garden to decode the hidden symbols and discover the magic word!
Potion Making and Herb Discovery
After completing the Scarecrow Scramble, step inside the bewitching Bothy to try your hand at potion-making. Learn about the herbs used by monks centuries ago at Beaulieu Abbey to cure ailments, and see if you can spot these plants still growing around the beautiful autumnal gardens during your visit.
Ghostly Tales and Spooky Stories
For those seeking a spookier experience, head to Palace House for some ghostly tales. Settle in the Portrait Gallery to hear eerie stories of famous figures who are said to haunt the grand country home to this day. While you’re there, don’t miss the chance to visit the Victorian Kitchen where Lord Montagu’s cook will be preparing some seasonal treats for you to try.
