Weymouth is pulling out all the stops for Halloween 2026, with a week-long programme of trails, a parade and family activities running across the town from 24th October to 1st November. The season is organised by We Are Weymouth, with local businesses, performers and community groups all getting involved, from dressing up shopfronts to decorating car boots for Trunk ‘n’ Treat.
The line-up mixes free family activities with a ticketed live actor trail, a free QR code trail, a town parade and Trunk ‘n’ Treat, giving local businesses and charities a direct way to take part and hand out treats to visiting families.
Halloween highlights in Weymouth
A Creepy Circus, a mysterious travelling spectacle of sinister clowns and cryptic witch fortune tellers, takes over the town centre for the live actor trail on 24th October, 10am-1pm. Tickets cost £2.75pp and the trail starts at Primark in Weymouth Town Centre (DT4 8NS). There are two versions, one for younger children and one for older children and adults, with prizes for those who crack the Circus’s secret. Tickets are booked through Ticket Tailor.
From 25th October to 1st November, 10am-6pm daily, families can follow a free version of the trail using QR codes hidden among participating businesses between Primark and Sticks and Bones. Entries go into a free prize draw for attraction tickets, vouchers and gifts.
The season builds to the Spooks by the Sea Parade and Trunk ‘n’ Treat on Friday 30th October. The free parade, led by stilt-walkers and a ghost shop, sets off from outside The Range at 5pm. Trunk ‘n’ Treat follows at Melcombe Regis Car Park from 5.30pm to 7pm, with decorated cars, stilt walkers, sweets, activities and food and drink to buy. Face painting runs in the town from 10am to 4pm on the same day.
Dawn Rondeau-Irvine, Chief Operations Officer at We Are Weymouth, said the 2026 programme is the biggest yet, adding that it’s designed to bring people into the town centre and support the businesses behind it, and thanking the participating businesses, performers and volunteers who make it happen.

- Nothe Fort has family activities including pumpkin golf, spooky bingo, children’s ghost tours, wand making and Halloween crafts, plus an after-dark Nothe of the Living Dead: The Freak Circus event on 30th and 31st October for older visitors who fancy some jump scares.
- Sandworld Sand Sculpture Festival runs a Halloween hunt and pumpkin sand-sculpting competition throughout October half term.
- Southside has its Halloween Frightmare, with a ghost train and family-friendly frights.
- Sealife Weymouth’s Spooky Ascarium features ghosts, potions and a Witches Lair.
- Belvedere Burlesque hosts a Halloween cabaret show on 24th October at the Centenary Club.
- The Heritage Centre runs a special evening Haunted Harbour Tour from the Nothe Tavern, alongside its regular tour throughout half term.
- The Palm House has a programme of Halloween activities for children through the school holidays.
- Sticks & Bones hosts a Spooktacular Halloween Party from 30th-31st October with live music and games.
- Wafflicious has spooky Halloween treats on the menu throughout October.
- Local pubs and clubs are joining in too, including a Zombie Apocalypse party at The Donkey Social on 31st October and a Ghouls and Demons Metal Ball at Finns.
