Make way for Noddy at Drayton Manor Theme Park

Children’s favourite, Noddy, is set to take a break from his home in the magical Toyland for a summer holiday at Drayton Manor Theme Park, in Staffordshire, where he’ll be entertaining the young and his many fans.

Noddy will be joined by his friends, the clever and kind Tessie Bear, Big Ears, a wise Brownie, as well as the mischievous Martha Monkey, and they’ll all be greeting lucky boys and girls and posing for photos as a memento of their day out.

The characters will be based in Drayton Manor’s 15-acre zoo, home to more than 100 animal species from around the world, from Saturday 21st July until Sunday 2nd September.

Colin Bryan, Drayton Manor’s Managing Director, said: “Noddy has been a much loved character since Enid Blyton first published Noddy Goes to Toyland in 1949, which is also the same year that my parents began creating Drayton Manor Theme Park.

“Noddy is a character who was part of my childhood and is recognised and adored by today’s children, parents and grandparents, which is why we know he’ll be a popular addition to the park this summer. But visitors shouldn’t worry about Sly and Gobbo the goblins spoiling their fun. They’ve not been invited to the park and we’ve given our staff strict instructions to be on the lookout for the naughty pair.”

Noddy’s appearance is part of the Drayton Manor’s ‘2012 Summer Explosion’, where the park will offer more adventure, excitement, laughter and magical moments during the six-week holiday.

As part of this Summer Explosion, online prices have been reduced to just £20 for adults and £12 for both grandee (60+) and children (4 – 11). Meanwhile, under fours will receive free entry. In addition, there will be free parking for those booking in advance as well.

The new prices will run from Saturday 21st July until Sunday 9th September. There will be a maximum of 2,012 of these reduced tickets available each day, so visitors should book early to ensure they get the discounted rate.
