Santa Flies in to Help Pensthorpe with Annual Festive Feeds
Pensthorpe Wildlife & Gardens near Fakenham in Norfolk is relying on the support of Father Christmas for its popular Santa Floodlit Feeds, taking place daily at 4pm between Saturday 15th and Sunday 23rd December 2012.
Helping the Pensthorpe wardens with their daily festive feed, Father Christmas will appear as a special guest and entice the birds from across the Reserve to fly in at dusk for their food.
Watch this magical and serene experience as a variety of wildfowl including Teal, Gadwall and Wigeon as well as Geese and Swans swoop in over the water to be fed.
The special warden commentary makes sure that visitors learn all about the Reserve and the wild birds who call it home, before being whisked off to Santa’s wintery grotto to meet him in person and receive a present.
Kirsty Willingham, Events Manager at Pensthorpe Wildlife & Gardens, comments: “In the run up to Christmas the Santa Floodlit Feeds get festive to create a magical spectacle for the whole family. Get up close to the feeding outside or watch the variety of birds in their breeding plumage being fed from the comfort of the indoor viewing gallery. It’s something a bit more unique and special for Christmas time”.
Father Christmas Floodlit Feeds are £3 for adults and £6 for children. The children’s price includes a visit to Father Christmas’ grotto, floodlit feed and gift. Places are limited so booking is essential.
