The Design Museum in London opens its doors to the highly anticipated World of Tim Burton exhibition from 25 October 2024. The exhibition offers a deep dive into the extraordinary creative universe of the celebrated director. It showcases his extensive works in partnership with Harvey Nichols.

Tim Burton: 600 artefacts and iconic costumes

For the first and only time in the UK, visitors can explore over 600 artefacts from Tim Burton’s 50-year career. From original sketches to costumes and set designs, the exhibition spans Burton’s artistic journey. It includes iconic pieces from Batman Returns and Wednesday. Among the must-see highlights are Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman suit and Wednesday Addams’ viral Rave’N dance dress.

Tim Burton’s creative process on display

The exhibition features over 90 new items, offering a unique perspective on Burton’s hands-on, design-led approach. Fans can view some of Burton’s earliest sketches alongside the costumes and props they inspired, giving a fascinating look into his creative process. The World of Tim Burton is not just an exhibition; it is an immersive experience with landscapes, angular corridors, and a soundscape created by Tomi Rose.

Special late-night openings

Due to high demand, the museum will stay open late on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the rest of 2024. Design Museum members can enjoy free access without needing to prebook.

Final UK stop on a global Tim Burton tour

The exhibition marks the final stop on its world tour, making it a once-in-a-lifetime event for UK fans. With tickets already setting a record for advance sales, it is set to be one of the museum’s biggest shows to date.
