What’s on at the V&A from mid-July 2025: exhibitions, workshops and events for families and teens
V&A East Storehouse offers free creative events
V&A East Storehouse in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park continues its inspiring programme for teens and families. On Thursday 17 July, artist collective Marshmallow Laser Feast share insights into their creative process in How We Made It, 19.00–20.30, free entry. On Saturday 26 July, join Focus On: Robin Hood Gardens, 13.00–17.00, to explore home and identity through archive materials, oral histories and poetry created by local youth.
V&A East Summer School welcomes teens aged 15–17
V&A East Summer School starts Monday 28 July to Friday 1 August, continuing Monday 4 August to Friday 8 August, 10.00–16.00. These workshops are free and open to students aged 15–17 from Hackney, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest or Newham. Participants collaborate with artists in a relaxed and welcoming space. No experience needed—just bring curiosity.
South Kensington’s Design and Disability exhibition continues
At V&A South Kensington, Design and Disability remains open until 15 February 2026. This ground-breaking exhibition places disability at the heart of design and culture, exploring identity through fashion, photography, zines and more. Cartier and Modern Gothic exhibitions draw visitors
The Cartier exhibition continues until 16 November 2025, showcasing over 350 gems, watches and design classics. Entry starts from £27.00 on weekdays. Makers of the Modern Gothic runs until 26 October 2025, displaying rare drawings and works by Pugin and John Hardman Jr, free to visit.
Young V&A highlights creativity for all ages
Young V&A’s Making Egypt exhibition continues until 2 November 2025, with tickets at £10. Family workshops return later in summer. Families can still enjoy ongoing free sessions through Power of Play and Play Saturdays until 19 July 2025, including interactive drop-ins and sensory play across the galleries.
