Boundless Outdoors, the not-for-profit outdoor education provider with residential centres at Bell Heath and Malvern, has been shortlisted for Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Venue of the Year at the Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards 2026/27. The winner will be announced at The Three Counties Showground on Friday 19 March 2027.
The organisation now moves into Round Two of judging, which includes an independent judge visiting one of its centres. The Visit Worcestershire Tourism Awards celebrate the best of the county’s visitor economy, and finalists also go forward into Visit England’s national Awards for Excellence.
A venue for schools, groups and weddings
Both Boundless Outdoors sites hold the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and regularly welcome schools for residential trips. The centres are also available for dry hire, used by community and faith groups, and by couples planning outdoor weddings in the woodland settings at Bell Heath and Malvern, including full-weekend hire.
Nick Hands, CEO at Boundless Outdoors, said the nomination reflects the team’s everyday work rather than just the buildings themselves. He explained that while the organisation puts real effort into making its grounds accessible, the achievement comes down to staff making sure every visitor, whether a pupil on a residential trip, a community group, or a couple planning their wedding, feels welcome and able to take part.
