Easter in London
Easter at Battersea Power Station
Come down to Circus West Village for exciting activities and events for all the family. Every day of the Easter holidays you can help build our incredible 30,000 piece LEGO mosaic of the Power Station, stroll around our new riverfront park and play with the giant outdoor games. Throughout the four day Easter weekend there will be an Easter quiz and chocolate eggs. For the grown-ups, Dodd’s Gin Distillery will have a pop-up with a taste of what they’ll be offering later this year. Other activities over Easter weekend include face painting, food stalls and live music. All weekend, coffees, babyccinos and ice-creams are our treat. On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th April we will be welcoming back our incredible Bubbleologist. Coffees, babyccinos and ice-creams will be on us. batterseapowerstation/circuswestvillage

Schools break up for Easter today. Joy all round for pupils and teachers. Worry, even foreboding, for parents and carers. How to keep the little darlings amused and away from screens for the next two weeks?
The website http://artexhibitionslondon.org/ has added a new KIDS section in time for the Easter holidays. It lists 65 events in London museums and galleries aimed to entertain (with a dash of education) those often bored little ones. And the best part is . . . . out of 65 listings, 57 are FREE. There’s an offer you can’t refuse.

Spring arrivals and Easter fun at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo
There’s plenty of fun to be had at Battersea Park Children’s Zoo this Easter school holidays, with bunnies, Easter eggs and exciting new animal arrivals. Pinky the white hedgehog has woken up from his hibernation, new Asian short-clawed otters Pedro, Pablo and Squish are settling in well and Stan the male guinea pig now has five new females to add to his crew, named Margo, Nivea, Mable, Cashew and Bhuna. With the three female friends he already has, that makes eight!
A new Bali starling named Casper has also arrived, who has been paired with resident female Beryl in the hope they will breed. Bali starlings, from Bali in Indonesia, are critically endangered in the wild, because their attractive white plumage and blue streak across the eye make them prey to illegal poaching for the pet trade. At one time there were only ten birds left in the wild, but now education and conservation programmes are aiming to halt this decline, to re-introduce captive bred birds to the wild and to stop the illegal trade.
Mini, Junior and Adult Keeper Experiences, Animal Adoptions, Birthday Parties and special events are available throughout the year too. http://www.batterseaparkzoo.co.uk

It includes a range of fantastic dishes that have been a roaring success, including the new T.rex burger as well as a choice of fresh salads and stone-baked pizzas, and a special menu for ‘Little Grillers’ with entertaining and educational dinosaur-themed games and facts. www.nhm.ac.uk.
