Launching Monday 27th July and running throughout the summer holidays until Sunday 13th September, Horrible Histories – Live at the Museum! invites families to take a thrilling tour of priceless Egyptian artefacts with the great Ramses II. As families journey through the galleries and hear stories from the remarkable reign of Ramses the Great, one of the most powerful pharaohs in history, they’ll be surrounded a priceless collection of 180 original Egyptian treasures on display, including the extraordinary coffin of Ramses the Great, the magnificent gold mask of Amenemope, the silver coffin of Shoshenq II, colossal statues, exquisite jewellery and royal treasures that have survived for more than 3,000 years.
The show then continues with a hilarious live performance featuring audience participation and the infamous 'Mummy Rap'. Families will discover the gory step-by-step process of turning a pharaoh into a mummy, as one of Ancient Egypt’s most fascinating burial rituals is brought brilliantly to life.
Joseph Hocking, Sales and Marketing Director of NEON, said: “...see the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt in a way that is both educational and enormously fun.”
