One Icy Christmas A Festival of Frozen Fun Heads to Liverpool one

 Liverpool ONE is set to become one of the most spectacular and exciting places to visit during the skating season this year, with the opening of the first ever urban ice experience – #IceFestival. Incorporating four ice-themed activities, it’s theUK’s biggest ever group of real ice attractions in one place!

#IceFestival will be housed in the heart of the City onChavasseParkand has been brought toLiverpoolby the team behind the world renowned London Ice Sculpting Festival.

From 7 November – 13 January, visitors to Liverpool ONE can experience the UK’s largest real Ice Slide plus a stunning ice gallery with crafted sculptures leading to Santa’s Grotto. What’s more, there will be a fantastic outdoor Alpine Ice Rink. Meanwhile the grown-ups can enjoy a drink in the UK’s first ever pop-up real Ice Bar. ICE SLIDE

Among the many spectacular creations inChavasseParkwill be theUK’s largest ever Ice Slide with two runs that are 30m long, 6m high and 4m wide. Experience the buzz of skimming along the slide at exhilarating pace, while taking in the whole view of the mesmerising #IceFestival. Open to Adults and Children (height restrictions apply).

SANTA’S GROTTO AND ICE GALLERY

Young visitors can journey through the secret door that leads to the Ice Gallery and Santa’s Grotto. Met by enthralling crystal clear polar animals and characters, these sculptures will thrill children and adults alike. Moving on through the magical forest, visitors will enter Santa’s Throne Room where children will be greeted by Santa and one of his Elves, who will be ready with a special gift.

ICE RINK

Combining a stunning setting, spectacular scenery and seasonal skating, the open air Ice Rink epitomises the glamour of the urban ice experience at the #IceFestival. Open to all ages (some restrictions apply) and featuring a stunning central feature for skaters to glide around, this magnificent rink is the perfect place to enjoy winter fun at its best.

 POP UP ICE BAR

The cool and contemporary pop up Ice Bar features a stunning room and furniture made entirely of crystal clear sculpture ice – that includes the bar, tables and chairs! Entrance includes a drink that is specially selected to warm you up, so why not chill out and try something new?

A massive 25 tons of crystal clear carving ice will be used to create the Ice bar, Ice Gallery and carving displays. The rink holds approximately 7 tons of ice covering over 600 sq metres!

Ice Box, a team of highly experienced artists, who are also the team behind the London Ice Sculpting Festival, brings this incredible Ice experience theUKfor the first time. During the not to be missed #IceFestival, there will be a series of exciting displays and events, with free live ice carving displays throughout weekends in November & December. Visitors after something more relaxing, can enjoy a delicious hot chocolate or mulled wine served from a contemporary alpine café bar and terrace alongside the ice rink. ThroughoutChavasseParkthere will be plenty of activities to keep younger visitors entertained.

 Must be over 5 years old and accompanied by an Adult if under 12. 

 Ice Slide:

  • Sun – Wed: 10am – 8pm
  • Thurs – Sat: 10am – 9pm
  • •No age limit but must be over 1.2m high.

Ice Grotto:

  • Sun – Wed: 10am – 8pm
  • Thurs – Sat: 10am – 9pm

 Café/Bar:

  • Mon – Sat: 10am – 11.30pm
