Cadbury World New Ride: Cadbury Chocolate Quest

Exciting New Addition for 2024
Cadbury World in Bournville, Birmingham, is gearing up to launch an exciting new ride in 2024: Cadbury Chocolate Quest. This immersive chocolate-themed adventure will take guests on a thrilling mission led by Freddo, the beloved Cadbury character. Visitors will hop into Cadbury-themed cars and embark on a fun quest to gather all the necessary ingredients to make a bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk using laser technology to “zap” the ingredients.

Interactive and Sensory Experience
The Cadbury Chocolate Quest ride will provide a fully interactive experience using a combination of 3D sets and virtual screens. The journey will be brought to life with the addition of captivating sounds, lights, smells, and heat, creating a multi-sensory adventure for guests. Once the quest is complete, visitors will receive a Cadbury treat made from the ingredients they’ve collected during the ride.

A New Era After Cadabra’s Closure
The new ride will replace the iconic Cadabra ride, which has been a fan favourite for 27 years, welcoming over 14 million visitors since 1997. Over the years, Cadabra has attracted celebrity guests like Princess Anne, Adele, Simon Pegg, and Gwyneth Paltrow. The closure of Cadabra marks the end of an era, but Cadbury Chocolate Quest promises to offer a fresh, exciting experience for visitors of all ages.

Part of a £8 Million Investment
The launch of Cadbury Chocolate Quest is part of a larger £8 million investment in Cadbury World. Merlin Entertainments, which took over the operation of the attraction in January 2023, is investing heavily in enhancing the visitor experience and driving growth. The new ride is just one part of the ambitious plans to refresh and improve the attraction for guests.

Merlin’s Vision for the Future
Tim Waters, Regional Director of the Birmingham cluster at Merlin Entertainments, expressed his excitement about the new ride. He said, “We’re delighted to announce the upcoming opening of Cadbury Chocolate Quest. The new ride will give parents the chance to take their children on an unforgettable chocolatey adventure. This is just the beginning of our bigger plans for Cadbury World.”

Other Enhancements at Cadbury World
In addition to the new ride, visitors can look forward to a host of other improvements at Cadbury World. The interactive Have a Go Zone will be enhanced, the Bournville Experience will be fully revamped, and the Advertising Avenue exhibit will receive an upgrade. Guests can also continue to enjoy popular attractions like the 4D Chocolate Adventure cinema and chocolate-making demonstrations.
