Ignite Your Imagination: Soar with Dragons this October Half-Term at The Story Museum!

Located in the heart of Oxford, The Story Museum is renowned for its unique approach, celebrating stories and storytelling in all forms through a series of immersive gallery spaces and experiences. This October half-term, families are invited to enjoy a range of dragon-themed events, such as designing a 3-D Dragon brain; testing their wits in an Escape Room challenge; role-playing in the legendary world of Dungeons & Dragons, or taking part in the exciting Story Explorers skills courses, specially designed for children aged 8-12. For lovers of fantasy or for those simply looking for a fun family day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

This October’s Dragon-themed events are all inspired by the museum’s highly anticipated new exhibition, Here Be Dragons… Co-curated by Cressida Cowell and Toothless. The interactive exhibition explores dragon lore from cultures around the world, guided by Cressida and companions from her beloved ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ series.

Author Cressida Cowell says: ‘There’s so much to discover about dragons from different cultures, but there’s also so much to do! From racing dragons on zip wires to inventing your own Dragonese, it’s truly a sensory experience that invites all ages to explore.’

Let your imagination take flight at The Story Museum this half-term!
