A magical and meaningful Christmas at Grand Arcade

This Christmas, Grand Arcade in Cambridge combines festive fun with a sustainable twist, making it a season to remember. From enchanting storytelling with Mrs Claus to eco-friendly initiatives, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Experience Mrs Claus’ Grand Arcade Storytime

Mrs Claus returns to Grand Arcade to delight families with her magical storytelling sessions. Taking place in her beautifully decorated grotto on the first floor, these cosy 30-minute sessions bring holiday joy to little ones.

Perfect for young families, the storytelling sessions offer a chance to spark imaginations and enjoy the festive spirit. Tickets for Mrs Claus’ Storytime also support Cambridge Carbon Footprint, funding the innovative Elf Repair Café.

Discover the Elf Repair Café

On 17 November, from 1pm to 4pm, Mrs Claus’ Grotto hosts the Elf Repair Café. Skilled ‘elves’ (experienced repairers) breathe new life into broken or well-loved items. Whether it’s a cherished Christmas decoration, a toy in need of repair, or a worn festive outfit, the repairers welcome it all.

Elf Tiziano says: “We love turning worn treasures into items ready for new memories. With a touch of elf magic, we’re spreading extra holiday cheer!”

Refresh your festive wardrobe at Grand Arcade

Also on 17 November, the Christmas Jumper Swish takes place from 1pm to 4pm in Mrs Claus’ Grotto. Swap your old jumper for a new-to-you festive sweater. It’s a stylish and sustainable way to update your holiday wardrobe.

Festive fun for all ages

From 13 November, Grand Arcade transforms into a winter wonderland. Visitors can enjoy:

  • Reindeer Rhapsody: Live music to lift your holiday spirit.
  • Yuletide Yeti: Meet the jolly chef spreading winter cheer.
  • Talking Letterbox: Drop off letters to Santa with a magical twist.

Late-night shopping starts from 16 December, offering plenty of time to find the perfect gifts. Capture the holiday spirit with photos at the Christmas throne or under the glittering star.

A Christmas with purpose

Grand Arcade proudly leads the way with its “Circular Christmas” initiatives. Julie Kervadec, Marketing Manager, says: “Festive fun doesn’t have to harm the environment. Whether swapping jumpers or repairing treasures, there’s something for everyone to enjoy sustainably.”
