Mum’s Launch Free Breastfeeding Guide

Two experienced breastfeeding mums have teamed up to create a Breastfeeding Guide to support mums in the first 6 weeks of breastfeeding.

The “Bump to Boobie” guide is full of insightful knowledge about how to get your baby to latch, how to spot breastfeeding issues and knowing when you need professional help. There is a mix of information, videos and external links to give you as much information as you need on each breastfeeding milestone that you reach.

Research shows that 80% of mums go into hospital wanted to breastfeed, but only 30% come out breastfeeding (Bainne Beatha Survey 2021). So we know that support in those first few days is crucial to get breastfeeding off to the right start.

That is why the guide offers an email on Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 5, Day 7 and then weekly after that, so there are 10 emails in total.

Who are the Mums?

Founder of Mama’s Boobie Box and breastfeeding advocate, Petrina O’Halloran came up with the idea and format, and collaborated with lactation consultant and midwife, Regina Kincaid from Kindestmilk.com

The information included is based on references from HSE, NHS, UNICEF and WHO.

Speaking about the guide, Petrina said

” I know from meeting mums, they really struggle in those first few weeks, especially first time mums. That’s why I felt a guide that could truly hand hold them through it would be of real benefit”.

How to get the guide?

Simply go the support page of www.mamasboobiebox.com and enter in the date you want the guide to start from and the emails will begin from there.
