Departing daily from Friday 27th December 2024 to Sunday 5th January 2025, these excursions take you on a 36-mile round trip from Pickering Station to the charming seaside town of Whitby.
The train departs Pickering at 11:10am (10:15am on Sundays) and leaves Whitby at 2:30pm, giving visitors over an hour and a half to explore this picturesque coastal town. Each leg of the journey lasts approximately one hour and 45 minutes. It offersg plenty of time to soak in the serene, snow-dusted moorland from the comfort of heritage carriages.

Whitby in winter exudes seasonal charm. From its quaint harbour to local shops and cosy eateries, the town provides an idyllic post-Christmas escape. Visitors can stroll along the cobbled streets, take in the fresh sea air, or visit iconic landmarks like Whitby Abbey.
